LINDA KAY PETERSON
(Biography)

Active Volunteer of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation since 1994, when she first chaired the Komen Dallas Race for the Cure“

Was elected vice chair of National Programs in 1997. Responsibilities included working with the Foundation’s Affiliate partners in cities from coast to coast to ensure their enthusiasm and knowledge about Foundation activities, and fulfillment of their assigned tasks

Chaired the National Program Advisory Council, a group organized to mentor Affiliates new to the Komen organization and to serve as a sounding board for the more established organizations

Served as chairman of the board for the Foundation from 1999-2002

Has experience in finance, administration, operations, fund raising, membership development and event planning for a variety of organizations
